The Final Cut ... another work I may want to pirate ... arrrrrr, 'tis the second of a trio, the first part being The Wall, the last part being the solo album, The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking ... which reminds me of a tremendous thread where someone (yougetajob) was debating with Crazy Squirrel about whether it was more dangerous for a woman to hitch hike alone ... He had argued that any isolated human being is vulnerable ... anyway, as tremendous as the thread was, it ended in disaster.  I wish I had saved a copy of the discussion.  Some disasters ... we called them "train wrecks" ... are actually more valuable then "avoiding confrontations at all costs".

I do value Crazy Squirrel's perspective, and I thank you for your thoughtful manners when interacting with her here.  We are each individuals not to be pigeon-holed into the genres created by society.

Now, back to this thread: why did I start it in the Vie Verk section?  It may be related to the New Work Ethic which rewards the winners of this "race to the bottom" as far as low wages and lack of benefits goes.  We'll see if it is all interconnected as we progress through this back and forth.

I want to respond off the cuff today ... on the fly.  Usually my posts will be calculated where I resort to quoting things I have written before, pointing out things great minds have written.  In this post, I want to try to write something directly from my conscious mind as if scribbling in a diary.

Last night or early this morning I dreamed I had stolen a sandwich, then I was in a restroom squeezing out a bowel movement.  Maybe the old brain is taking an intellectual crap right now ... Why did Antonin Artaud write that all writing is pigShit?  Anyway, during this dream, and I will not say it was a strange dream since all dreams are "strange" - for that matter, life itself is strange ... well, during this dream I was driving a large truck looking for a back road in my hometown.  I couldn't find it, and I crashed the truck into a large body of water.  Then I am looking at a regular office building and wondering what on earth all these office workers could possibly be doing all day in all these office buildings.  Some of them have no windows.  Could any number of them be hacking away at trying to get a splashscreen to show up in the grub2 boot menu?  And they pay people while they are doing things I do for kicks?  Hmmm ... I better try to stay focused.

I mention the dreams just to put my brain into "diary mode" - to be less calculating in my approach to this thread, What Happened To The Tribes of Europe?  The word Europe really ought to be in quotations since it is an abstract bundle of nation-states glued together after the collapse of the Roman Empire and then the downfall of the Roman Catholic Church.  Some people even consider Sweden to be "European" and it is not.  The Swedes were the last Northern Peoples to be "Christianized" - Christianity, like Judaism and Islam - being a religion from the southern hemisphere around the Mediterranean Sea.

So, when I awoke I was going over my dreams as is my ritual when other thoughts kept interrupting the flow of dream recall.  For whatever reason I am thinking about all the propaganda (not necessarily false) about the crisis at the borders of Texas, the endless stream of teenage refugees escaping from drug-infested/gang-infested areas of Central America.  Another image pops into my head - "citizens" in present day Europe complaining about the infestation of "Muslims" from the southern hemisphere.  On both sides of the Atlantic Ocean there are voices whispering in corners about a "war of the womb" ...

Before I go any further, I want to make clear that I find the situation at once both horrific and humorous.  Another intellectual contradiction we'll just have to live with (or not).

How could a "humanitarian crisis" on the border of Texas be funny?  Como Chistiso?

Well, when one takes a look at my "hometown" - which is supposedly a historic town that has existed long before the United States was even a "nation" - where "colonists" battled against British soldiers who wanted them to pay taxes - where there must have been native indigenous peoples before the colonists arrived (next to "FREE"-hold is "Mah-nah-lah-pan" on the other side of Wemrock Road (was Weamcock) ... Lake To-pah-nee-mus) ...

Let's forget the word "Indian" - it is inaccurate.  There were People of the Land.  The word Indian is a term used by the founding invaders/colonizers to group various tribes into a category of non-citizens of the State.

Sorry, I will slip in a little insert from Badiou about set theory and how it can be observed in our day to day social reality:

Quote
It is not for nothing that governments, when an emblem of their void wanders about – generally, an inconsistent or rioting crowd – prohibit “gatherings of more than three people,” which is to say they explicitly declare their non-tolerance of the one of such ‘parts,’ thus proclaiming that the function of the State is to number inclusions such that consistent belongings be preserved.

The void is reduced to the non-representation of the proletariate, thus, unpresentability is reduced to a modality of nonrepresentation; the separate count of parts is reduced to the non-universality of bourgeois interests, to the presentative split between normality and singularity.  Politics can be defined as an assault against the state.  The State is precisely non-political.

The term "Indian" - as it is used in the history of the United States of America - has a parallel across the Atlantic Ocean where Roman conquerors named the northern tribal peoples "Germanic" - in Latin it basically means "barbarian" or savage.  These "Germanic" peoples of the north were not considered "citizens" of the Empire ... they were conquered and assimilated, used as soldiers.  The Dream Act, anyone?

So, these northern tribal peoples resisted assimilation ... practiced "witchcraft" and what not.  They resisted being despiritualized, Christianized, Islamizied ... alphabetized ... what have you.

Now, isn't it ironic or even hypocritical for descendants of people who "infested" the lands of Northern Europe and then "infested" the lands of North America to get on their high horse about the people of Central America infesting what they now call "their" lands?  They stole it first.  They infested it first.  They planted flags and built towns and set off fireworks and marched in parades.

You see, it is much more interesting to perceive these situations in a detached, almost humorous or mocking manner.  This allows the "philosopher" or "thinker" to transcend ego and "ethnicity".

Some may see the demographical shifts occurring in both hemispheres, where the peoples of the southern part of the planet are outbreeding the northern peoples AND migrating north as a WAR OF THE WOMB.  In the "European" part of the planet there is talk of the "Muslims" infesting (different from invading) the "Christian Nations" ...

How many giant pink elephants are there?  You'll see them here.  We love to welcome discussions about giant pink elephants in tiny rooms.

In the Western hemisphere, where the USA is considered a "White Christian Republic" founded by descendants of "European civilization" who were themselves descendants of tribal peoples who were conquered by the "Roman" soldiers (slaves of empire), there is talk of the peoples of Central America "infesting" the USA, and, again ... like across the Big Pond ... having far more babies than the antinatalistic disciples of Arthur Schopenhauer.

It is a great deal of intellectual fun to consider such phenomena plainly, for you can then bear witness to the living nightmares of Adolf Hitler.  AHA - H is trying to tie this all together in a neat little essay!

Hitler and others like him were trying to stop the inevitable.  Disciples of Arthur Schopenhauer will not survive in a **** contest with what Emil Cioran called "the dregs of humanity" --- [I am not intellectually elitist BUT ---]   :P

To Hitler, the situation is HORRIFIC.

To H, the situation is COMICAL.  I am still not sure if "survival" is even desirable.  Life is not a soccer - er, I mean Futball - game.

Horrific satire ... the only genre for reality-based thinking.  This could be why I am such a good "sport" - why I hold no grudges about "being **** off the planet" - you see, because my worldview transcends Hitler's worldview.  Hitler is to Nietzsche what I am to Schopenhauer.  I am able to laugh and joke around with the very people who are, in an impersonal manner, **** me off the planet.  Like the bonobo chimpanzee jerking off in the corner, I just don't give a ****.  I find it all rather comical and absurd.

Things They Will Never Tell YouArthur Schopenhauer has been the most radical and defiant of all troublemakers.
