I agree with everything you said.About Hitler, the point I was trying to make is that he could have been like us,as you said yourself,he carried The World as Will with him before he joined the politics.Anyway, I don't want to exist too,I am glad that another day has gone by & that I'm a little closer to the blessed oblivion.

Whereas some professionals would disagree, I think you have a healthy attitude, looking forward to total oblivion.

I understand what you are saying about Hitler.  Who knows what kind of inner transformations take place inside an individual that turns them into a megalomaniac?

I don't trust history
.  These world wars have more to do with war technology than with the personalities history focuses on.  Somewhere some rich industrialists are manufacturing weapons and selling them to all sides ... they hide behind walls, they hide behind desks, they make a fortune and pass it down to their descendents who drive around in fancy cars and go on cruises while somewhere else someone's skull gets blown to bits ... ching, ching ... Money ... it's a hit.

Would people prefer to have jobs at a weapons manufacturing plant than to live on Swedish-like welfare?   What is it with people?   >:(

Even though I may be miserable, believe it or not, I had to struggle to attain the ability to be able to handle this degree of misery.  I choose to allow myself to experience it to the dregs.

There is an entire industry making an obscene amount of money by convincing people that this degree of misery is not normal, and therein is the great lie.  This is what being alive feels like!

Why not just face it, right?  Why call it a "mood disorder" when it might just be a consequence of possessing a sharp intellect capable of seeing things as they are?

Thanks Holden.   That clip is rich.
"He's so shaggy, he'll get in everyone's way.  Barks so loud.  In short, he's a filthy animal.  Very well, but the animal has a human history, a human soul"

"... feeling what people say about him - which an ordinary dog can't do ..."

I'm going to try to jump into some math and programming this morning as a way to distract myself from thinking of reasons to do myself in.   8)

I'm a stubborn animal who never saw a doctor for follow up after xrays at hospital.   Now I am still using a crutch outside (with work-boots on), a walker in kitchen and bathroom.  To be blunt, the foot is not doing so well.   We are in a heat wave (up to 96-98 degrees F).  I've been able to water the garden.   I've been picking the zucchinis small, the way Maman likes them.  Inebriation is at a minimum, and communications with my ruffian associates are fairly smooth.

I would write more, but I want to reboot this machine into Funtoo operating system, as I prefer compiling code in there.  Trust me, I have been out of codemode so long that I actually have to get back to the basics ... declaring the variables I use and all that with a Beginner's Mind.    Always with a Beginner's Mind.  Maybe this is just the way we keep ourselves humble and honest and patient.   I do not get "better" at writing code.   My methods return to me, and I just go into my own zone.  Nothing gets any easier, and that's OK.  My understanding deepens, but there is no great difference.

Everything is slow going.

Maybe I ought to approach writing code the way some approach sex ... with mathematics as the foreplay.

Others may want to just bust it out quick and move on.   I want to move slowly.  Enjoy the process.  I better stop here.    I have much to complain about, but I want to remove my head from my ass as gently as possible this morning.  I even got some sleep.

To be blunt, the foot is not doing so well. -Herr Hauser

I am sorry to hear that. Is your foot fractured and are you using an orthopedic cast to encase the limb? I hope there is no pain because physical pain can be extremely terrible and it might also make it hard for you to focus upon mathematics and programming.

I do hope it heals soon. I just feel disappointed with life. My parents are the worst. Books are my friends though. I don’t feel so gloomy when I am with my books. Its almost bearable then.

My father is the most anti-mathematics and anti-intellectual person one could possibly imagine. I don’t talk to him about anything  important. I just shoot the breeze with me.

Maybe he does not want me to learn mathematics, because he could not do it himself. I cannot rule out that possibility. But I do wish to learn at least a bit of mathematics, that might be the only desire left within the shell that I am turning into.

If I failed at doing that then maybe I’d get merged with the Platonic form of mathematics, once I leave this torture chamber. I would like to continue to study mathematics, but only if I have a bearable life.If it gets too painful physically and emotionally, then, all the bets are off.

I can see how the mechanism of determism works and I do not hold my parents responsible, ultimately, for the wreteched state I am in, I realise that it is much deeper than that.

I am just saying that I’d be nice if I could pick up some serious mathematics before I am gone, but ,at the end of the day, nothing beats non-existence.

I just feel hollow inside, maybe, life has beaten all the stuffing out of me. You might like to see a doctor if the foot is not heeling. Physical suffering can be soul crushing. Please do get well soon.

Most human beings have no souls. They are worse then animals because they have all the beastliness and none of the innocence.
You are a man with a wonderful soul.

Take care.

"We are short-staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did show up. Nobody wants to work anymore."

What If People Don’t Want 'A Career?'

Notes:

You devote the bulk of every day for 30-40 years in the prime of your life to various companies to make them and their shareholders money and then you get ten years near the end of your life to do what you please. Sounds like a bad arrangement.

Employees who don’t show enough deference to the company and, most importantly, to the manager are seen as a liability.

... the career is a device that businesses and managers can use as a motivation to get the deference and feigned enthusiasm that they want (and often feel they need) from employees. It’s a great tool, in part because career arcs are real. Perceptions and reputations matter and offices have promotional structures that workers want to move up. But the career concept is also frequently abused and lorded over employees. What is billed as mentorship and training (here’s how we do things/here’s how to get ahead) can quickly turn into intimidation and even a vague threat against a person’s future (don’t cross me or it’ll cost you).

The Chinese "Lying Flat" sounds like where I have been coming from for a couple decades now.  It really is a life philosophy.   There are sure to be many rich industrialists who would be furious to discover that many living "on the dole" see this as a lifestyle choice.

Note also that young Japanese people have been frustrated with work pressure and economic stagnation for years, too.

Quote
Some identify as the "satori sedai," or "resignation generation," a term first used in 2010 on 2channel, an anonymous message board in Japan that was popular at the time. It's characterized by pessimistic attitudes towards the future and a lack of material desire.

"I spend my money only on things [that] I like and find value [in]," said Kenta Ito, 25, who describes himself a minimalist and identifies with the satori sedai. He earns a decent wage at a consulting firm in Tokyo, but doesn't care about owning things like a house or a car.

Almost 26% of the 2,824 people ages 16 to 35 living in Japan surveyed by the consulting firm Dot in Tokyo in 2017 — its most recent survey on this topic — said they associate themselves with the characteristics of the satori generation.

"They would do what they're expected to do, but maybe not so much beyond that," said Sachiko Horiguchi, an associate professor of anthropology at Temple University's Japan Campus. "They're less materialistic, not so interested in consumption."

There are even teens against consumerism:

Because teens are placing sustainability on the top spot when shopping for clothes, the second-hand clothing market is expected to surpass the luxury clothing one for the first time in 2022.

yes, Holden, contemplation is the key to survival, not frantic activity - although we may find contemplation during basic activities such as preparing meals and tending to our animal body's needs

This can not be said about jobs where one's mental [includes emotional] faculties are constantly drained, where one is bombarded with mundane, redundant, meaningless activity performed for ever-devalued money

The following is a song'poem I just jotted down.

Maybe Seattle Was Mecca

Say Jimi Hendrix
Say the ghost of Frances Farmer
Say Cobain not in vain
By these Reptillian Archons who are not tame
HE WAS SLAIN
history is lame
and Her Story is a Goddamn shame

Who killed Kurt Cobain
where Mike Woods went insane
where before his very eyes
his life went down yet another
mother-fucking drain?

But I met the Chief Stick
Who renamed Freehold
Now that I'm getting old
The truth might as well be told
With swollen feet and stinky socks
Blackfoot hostile said this kid rocks

(Native from Montana nick-named me Kid Rock)
