Herr Hentrich,
As always, your post is very enlightening. Once I heard that men and women of genius do not reproduce. I am sure that there are men and women who reproduced but only later realized what they did. That happens but the child is here and he or she is going to the suffer for the rest of his/her life even he or she has wealthy parents. Of course not many want to hear these ugly things. We humans like to hear, feel and see only flattering things, We enjoy adulation. We do not like to hear about the dark side of our nature. We, humans, cause suffering, pain, death, chaos, destruction to our fellow human beings, to ourselves and to the planet. We have been taught/brainwashed/deceived that we are the summit of creation. Homo rapiens, the summit of creation.

"And then there are some types of people who say about people who look like me that they intend to fuuck me off the planet." I suppose this is normal. After all you, Holden and others go against the current. You know better than me that we,humans, are terribly stupid. We also tend to conformity and obedience to authority. If you were an "enemy of the people" in Soviet times, you would end up with a bullet in your head and your execution would say that he just obeyed orders. Not very different from what happens in Texas with those who pull the lever for the electric chair.

"I once saw a video on ZooTube where there were some Muslim migrants from down south who had made it up into Germany, or was it Sweden?.  Well, they were bragging about how they will have 12 babies for each one the native German or Swede produces, and that very soon there won't be any more "Germans" or "Swedes" except for the Muslim kind. "
These people have no idea of what they are saying. I can say that the Neonazis are going to react and react very badly. You heard of Anders Breivik from Norway? I am sure that there are hundred of Breiviks waiting and stockpiling weapons in cellars. This reminds that me of those two boys, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold who prepared carefully for the massacre in Columbine. Ever heard the song "Pumped up kicks" by Foster the People?

"I just wonder sometimes if I have not reproduced simply because there are no attractive women willing to bear my evil seeds in her womb, that is, that there are no such women attracted to my "genotype", and that my "type" is not being chosen by the Species as represented by fertile women in general.

There may be more to this than natural selection weeding out the thinkers, or that our species is only in need of slaves and drones."
Slaves and drones, yes. That´s what the establishments wants and they are succeeding. Men and women designed to reproduce in a human coop. Humans happy to take a **** and wipe the asses. They look at the mirror and say " Pleased to meet you". Humans with a bar code and expiry date. Wonderful.
As you say "I've seen the future.  It is murder. " We should remember the song "Dust in the wind by Kansas, Everybody is a dust in the wind.

Stay safe and drive safely.

You know what else I find a little disturbing, Raul, as far as "feeling stupid" goes?

It must happen to us all from time to time.  Just now, I was looking at a rather simple geometry problem, and as I was hit by a warm summer breeze, my brain became incredibly LAZY.

And I thought, "Why bother?"

It was all I could do not to lay down on the floor and nap like a dog.

Maybe I judge people too harshly, including myself.

We all have moments of clarity, but we all must also have moments when we just space out and don't want to think about anything.

Herr Hentrich,
Thank you for your words. Well, we all judge ourselves and others harshly. In a way nobody can judge you for doing that. Yes," We all have moments of clarity, but we all must also have moments when we just space out and don't want to think about anything." The problem is that lack of inaction is not well seen. Endlessly moving, rushing, fast all the time. Towards what?

You realize that it is better sometimes to take a nap and let the time go. Not many will do that. Of course not many will ask "Why bother?".
Take care of yourself.

Re: identity crisis ----> Weltschmerz

Exchanging a couple emails with my sister, trying to communicate a specific emotion, I could only come up with "a great tiredness" (in the legs, under the eyeballs, and even in the soul, whatever a soul is).

She said that she and her husband are also experiencing this great tiredness as well.  She suggests it is an intense kind of weariness.   I could not help but think of the book by Beiser that Holden suggested to us a few summers ago.    Life really seems to be going out of its way to teach us not to want it, eh?

Frederick Beiser defines Weltschmerz as "a mood of weariness or sadness about life arising from the acute awareness of evil and suffering", and notes that by the 1860s the word was used ironically in Germany to refer to over-sensitivity to those same concerns.

I found an article called Weltschmerz is the word that perfectly sums up how you’re feeling right now
