Scenes like these greatly help me to turn the will against itself. That Frankfurt fellow was right:Perception over Conception.

Peace,my dear friends.

Señor Holden,
Muchas gracias. It is very kind of you to remember me, a faceless visitor to this blog from Paraguay but it is Michael Hentrich you should thank. It is his blog that allowed me to read all his comments and yours. Be safe wherever you are. Raúl

De nada, Señor Raul.As for being a faceless visitor to this blog from Paraguay, thats not how I see you.For one,I have been observing you leaving comments on many Antinatalist blogs for many months now,& also,I strongly believe that our essence is the same, the WILL-to-LIVE.
The differences-cultural,geographical et cetera are merely phenomenal.

Keep well in Paraguay,mi amigo,mi hermano.

As for being grateful to Herr Hentrich,I am eternally indebted to him.

You really shouldn't be encouraging me like this.  Didn't you get the memo from the prison guards?

That Hentrich is a freak!  He walks around in circles in the yard talking to himself.

[As a concerned inmate looks on, saying, "Don't let them get to you Mike.  We know you're not crazy.  We respect you."]

Some things are worth more than gold.   :)

ego-dollars ??

What a great cover of Rabbit in Your Headlights by this Chris Brumbaugh, evidently quite an insomniac as well ...

One commenter, Aykut Bozkurt, said, "I will get it to an mp3 player to listen to while I am deciding to live or die."

Is there any other decision?

Señor Hentrich,
Ha,ha,"That Hentrich is a freak!  He walks around in circles in the yard talking to himself." and also you don´t get into UFOS. Really funny. I read your autobiography.  I am just a reader of your enlightening blog. But the real contributor is Holden.
Yes, Also it would be good if teenagers would take naps (la siesta in Spanish) but everybody is in a rush. Here I hear people say that this country needs to produce, produce and produce and also, work, work and work. They say these words like they say their rosaries in a church. I also hear elderly people complain that the young have no discipline, that they want to do things without effort, that they do not want to sacrifice. Maybe the young see that this world is a nightmare.

I really hope you are not forced to leave your place there.  I am sorry there is nothing I can do to help you. Be safe. Raúl

If the teenagers take a nap, the "responsible well adjusted adults" accuse them of being on reefer.

Oh well, I will stay out of it.  Maybe it's like the original Planet of the Apes film, where the chimp rebel told Taylor that he doesn't trust anyone over 30.

... also you don´t get into UFOS. Really funny. I read your autobiography.

I remember writing that line, and I remember choosing to type it from the notebook.  The really biting joke of it is that the humor was unintentional.  Schopenhauer would say it was the "work of the Holy Ghost", whatever the Holy Ghost is in a total atheist's head.  I think I know what he meant by Holy Ghost.  It's that unconscious invisible intelligence that searches for just the right book that seems worth the effort to read.   Freud would simply call it the unconscious.

Here is the true irony of the humor:  When I wrote that, I was complaining to "the future" about my live-in girlfriend.  She believed in UFO's and unicorns.  I was saying I don't "get into" UFO's meaning I am not an enthusiast about extraterrestrial lifeforms zooming around observing humanity.  With the vastness of the galaxies, while other lifeforms are are most likely eeking out an existence elsewhere, I truly doubt that they would be exhausting their mysterious fuel joyriding through space ...

But now that you mention that line, I see how there is also a [George] Carlinesque play on words as well.  I don't get IN TO (I don't climb aboard) UFO's, as in, I have to pass on all that anal-probing shiit.    :D

When I wrote it I meant one thing, but there is also a second meaning that is even funnier than the intended "grouchy biitching" commentary on unicorns and those who think something exists just because it can be imagined.

Like Holden is here, you were one of the only people who would let me know you were reading what I was posting on wordpress.  I am glad you are making your presence known to us.

It doesn't matter how few of us are able to exchange ideas on this level.  I forget where I read it, maybe it was in Orwell's 1984, but this is the way it is everywhere.  In twos and threes the truth is spoken.  Lies draw the crowds.  The truth disperses it.

As for my living arrangements, I feel more stable than I have been in years.  I will enjoy it while it lasts, and then roll with the punches.  I have a lot of nerve collecting a library, but - Hell - when you consider what students and government agencies are spending on "official" educations, my current strategy is a testament to authenticity.

There seems to be such a demand for recognition when it comes to acquiring knowledge since it is invisible.  While I do feel like some kind of non-entity, there is no force on earth that can lock us out of our own minds, which is where true education takes place, after all.  Still, it can be very disheartening when one becomes confused over different notations used to describe the same thing.  It can get extremely frustrating.

It's as though each of us is in need of our own personal Oracle!

What's so ironic about the clamour for work, work, work, and productivity and usefulness is that, this may really only be a recent phenomena if you consider the fact that higher learning was once reserved for monks and priests.  One book, and it was usually something like the "Bible", would cost a family what a house would cost nowadays - and who the hell can afford a house?

Now there is a steep learning curve just to use free computer algebra systems, but I'm quite certain there are actual rocket scientists who can't start a fire without matches or a lighter.  Hell, I know I can't, and I'm not even a rocket scientist!

What a cruel joke!  Now used books are being sold for a relatively small price, but how fortunate one feels just to have a place to store the books!  I mean, you just can't win, Raul.  I guess all we can do is laugh at how ridiculous our predicaments are.  Damn, homeless shelters, with all their rules and saying grace before meals are served, it's enough to make you want t get really drunk and start screaming into the sky.   >:(

As for studying, It is a great luxury to be able to move at one's own pace.  This is much easier to pull off once society has written you off as useless.  The pressure to do something useful or productive might be at the root of the mad rush to get nowhere fast.  I have found that I learn best when I am free to face my confusion squarely and take my time looking for insight.  If I were pressured to "hurry up and get there", I would freeze up.

Hence, my sympathy for the girl (young woman) who leaped to her death to liberate herself from the pressure to "succeed" in "the sciences".    :-\

She may have been better off smoking some herb and becoming a deadbeat.  Do you see how some people are suicided by society?  Those of us who do not succumb to suicide most likely have disdain and even contempt for the values of our respective societies.
