FFF !

It sickens me that this kid is using the name Gort Busters.

I guess I can't afford to care anymore.

Thank goodness that the Football Boy who went simply by the name, "Mike," lost steam and is no longer interested in posting the banal and innane drivel about weather conditions for football games, and having the gall to call it "gortbusters DOT org" !

How different that is from the real thing can be discerned by comparing the snapshots on the Wayback Machine in 2017 to the snapshots from 2003-2007 or so.   The real gortbusters went down around 2007/2008, which is when I sought an invisible community at whywork DOT org/forums as Broken Spirit.

In this snapshot from the summer of 2004, the "read more" link for the thread on Thoreau actually works, and an inner level is reached:  here ... where I found a great quote by Thoreau:

What shall we think of a government to which all the truly brave and just men in the land are enemies, standing between it and those whom it oppresses? A government that pretends to be Christian and crucifies a million Christs every day!

Hey!  Maybe the Wayback Machine has a handful of the old whywork forum posts.

It could be interesting just looking around for something that might "cut close to the bone."

I figured I would give a heads up in case anyone was bored, depressed, and in the mood to snoop around a "dead board."

Long live the dead boards ... .

Just for posterity ...
