Can you control the thoughts that pop into your head?

Can you control the thoughts that pop into your head?

No, Nature (or, my nature), creates them in a chaotic manner which "I" have nothing to do with.

I am just an observer, a witness, the eternal Subject.   Am I talking nonsense?  Is this just Talking Beef?

Am I just the food I eat?   Without the food, a truly ugly and potentially violent evil monster reveals its true nature.

Civilization is not civilized.  I would like the Devil to write a book, a horrific satire, and, of course, a psychological thriller.   Maybe the Devil writes all the books.

If we do not control the thoughts that pop into our heads, then our brains are sitting ducks for Big Lies and Narratives created by animals just like us who can't stand the smell of their own shiit, animals who do not control the thoughts that pop into their heads.

What kind of creature am I?   What kind of creatures are we?

More importantly, what is the true nature of this world in our heads?

What is the nature of this reality where all creatures born must eat to live?

If we say the nature of reality is evil, we impose an abstract judgment based on human ethics/morality.

There are non-human elements within us all.   I like the expression "frustrated vaginas" used by Celine in Journey to the End of the Night.   It gets to the heart of the matter.
Things They Will Never Tell YouArthur Schopenhauer has been the most radical and defiant of all troublemakers.

I would ask that we try to decipher the thoughts popping into our heads, even the ones that we are afraid to write down.

There are so many who write "positive" or all-too-predicatable "safe and correct" responses on Quora and such places where "professionals" suppose they have certain credentials and experience which give their BULLSHiiT more "authority" over the truths we stand in.   If I had the energy, I would like to knock them all off their pedestals.

An example?

Never ….nature is free….if u can't cope with it, evil is in u ….it's like a mountain is free ….if u can't climb it, it's your ambition and ur weakness…mountain is not testing you or forcing you …..evil means sadness solidified.

Thank god I did not marry the young woman who believed in Unicorns!   It's difficult enough living with a toilet-paper addicted mother who believes in God (the Creator of Poop).

This is what I was thinking when referring to developing a non-human perspective in the Some Days Are Harder Than Others thread.  The frustrated vagina is not so much a hostile person as it is a hostile Thing-in-Itself ... a Frustrated Will.   The World as the Moment-by-Moment Frustrated Dissatisfaction of Lived Experience ...  to be exact :-*  The source of pain and suffering is existence itself, not any of the Aspiring Dictators of the Planet of the Apes.   The dissatisfying nature of our existence will not be eradicated by "progress" ... People who insist we think positive are evidently not able to handle too much reality.

Did Nietzsche write somewhere that "Life is a woman" ?

Schopenhauer credited women in general with unconsciously choosing all future generations (with their vaginas, plain and simple).  This is not "inappropriate" to point out.   We will never get anywhere with our experiments in "intellectual" honesty if we do not allow ourselves to state brute facts simply because it might be considered "rude" by those who prefer we kept these "thoughts popping into our heads" to ourselves.  Better still, they sell pills that can limit these unpleasant experiences we call "thoughts" or "thinking".    :D

There are less and less opportunities to express such unpopular sentiments.

Pointing out the connection between death and procreation reveals the structure of the evolutionary processes.  This is an exercise in thinking from a non-human perspective, seeing the situation/predicament we are born into.  Who can blame us for wondering if we might not find a way out of such a raw deal?
