Thanks for clarifying that for me.  For some reason, I always thought he had jumped the guy and cut HIS earlobe off.  What you show me makes much more sense.  I mean, there would have been a dungeon or mental asylum for Vinnie if he had followed through with his impulses.  It is good for him, I think, that he used restraint.   

Passion is a double-edged sword ... I heard that suicide might be repressed homicide ... where one wants to attack an enemy but turns it inward instead.  I don't know ... so many theories, so few brain cells.   ;D
