I don't think I've ever met one. I've read about Smith and Company, and it all sounds based upon a kind of impulsive pronouncement about the "The Lord Jesus Christ being the Son of their Heavenly Father," rather harmless in itself, but not my cup of tea, of course.
It all gets on my nerves, to say the least.
There are Jehova's Witnesses which I would find annoying, but among the most assaulting to the intellect are some fringes of the "Black Hebrew Israelites" but, well, I stay clear of such nonsense. Clearly what Schopenhauer might call "ignorance parading around as authority."
I don't know anything about the Church of Latter Day Saints, but I'm guessing I wouldn't have much to discuss with them.
I'm for avoiding arguments. I read to myself. You will never see me screaming verses from The World as Will and Representation out in public, unlike those you will see below who claim to be "speaking with authority" just because they are holding a book they believe to be holy. Holy horse shiit! I want to resign from this species.
