Buddha's Warning
« on: September 18, 2016, 01:18:42 am »
Worthless man, it would be better that your **** be stuck into the mouth of a poisonous snake than into a woman's ****. It would be better that your **** be stuck into the mouth of a black viper than into a woman's ****. It would be better that your **** be stuck into a pit of burning embers, blazing and glowing, than into a woman's ****. Why is that? For that reason you would undergo death or death-like suffering, but you would not on that account, at the break-up of the body, after death, fall into deprivation, the bad destination, the abyss, hell...

having just gotten out of yet another disastrous relationship, this time with a genuinely psychotic woman, these words resonate with me. One day I might like to dissect the details of her multiple personalities that would kick in when pain was activated. It was like something out of a movie that I had never seen in real life before. But for now, I will continue to wonder why I seem to end up being around seemingly unstable women.. maybe it's that the majority of them are, or maybe I have an issue of my own that leads me to them.

I think I am about ready to leave this planet. I don't wish to cease to exist, but if another race came to offer me to even be their pet, I'd consider it if it meant living somewhere else. somewhere without humans.

Hello forthebirds,
Long time,no see.I hope you are well.
‘No Exit’ ,a play, relates the arrival of three characters in hell. Two women and a man trying to understand what might lead them to hell and what is their punishment. They quickly understand that there is no executioner because each of the other two is the hangman for the third. The full version of the quote :

“Ha, you’re only two? I thought you were much more numerous. So that’s hell. … I never thought You remember: the sulphur, the stake, the grill .. Oh What a joke. No need to grill: hell is other people”
Others in Sartre occupies a special place. Indeed, consciousness is not alone in the world. It must arrange with other minds, fighting to exist. The For-Itself (= man) is also a for-others.
Other is a scandal because I do not exist while he has the power to freeze me into a being (vulgar, proud, shy, …) that I am not. The gaze of others exposes me, makes me weak and fragile, turns me into object for him.
“If there is an Other, whatever, wherever, whatever its relationship with me … then I have an outside, a nature, my original sin is the existence of the other“(Being and Nothingness, p. 321)

The only defence that man has at his disposal is to transform others, to turn into an object. We must get rid of others, to escape, to reclaim yourself and the world .Consciousness invents this subterfuge to continue to exist as a subject.
The No Exit play by Sartre perfectly illustrates the difficult coexistence of people: other people is what alienates me.

I remember that play.  I found it at a thrift store for about 25 cents.  It was a good read.  I mean, it is apparent how difficult it is for human beings to endure one another.   Our personalities can be oppressive.

As for the wish to be taken in as a pet by extraterrestrials, I had that feeling when I worked for the government as a maintenance worker (building and grounds).  I felt like I was some kind of endangered species, and that the State had merciful feelings toward me wanting to place me in some kind of preserve where I would be isolated from the corporate world.

I still get this feeling that somewhere in the ranks of the government they see me as some kind of freak who is not like the masses.   They might have even tried to have me "mate" but the female and I were just too disharmonious ... and then there's the Schopenhauer/Cioran factor where I could not separate philosophy from everyday life.

A married philosopher belongs in comedy.

I feel much less anxiety since I have become resigned to go extinct.   It appears that some of us are just not wired for breeding or even long term cohabitation.   The best thing to develop is the capacity to be alone, to stand alone, even if this means death and extinction.

Where is our species heading anyway?

There are few places to discuss such matters without the risk of being diagnosed with mental illness.   You know you are welcome to voice your doubts and fears here.

I hope you find some inner peace and learn to cherish the fact that you can't find a place in this world, that you are homesick for somewhere else.

very interesting words from both of you, thank you. I have experienced psychosis from another at an intimate level. my paranoia is higher than usual tonight.  when I am ready, I would like to talk about it. until then, my friends, take care.
