I remember that play.  I found it at a thrift store for about 25 cents.  It was a good read.  I mean, it is apparent how difficult it is for human beings to endure one another.   Our personalities can be oppressive.

As for the wish to be taken in as a pet by extraterrestrials, I had that feeling when I worked for the government as a maintenance worker (building and grounds).  I felt like I was some kind of endangered species, and that the State had merciful feelings toward me wanting to place me in some kind of preserve where I would be isolated from the corporate world.

I still get this feeling that somewhere in the ranks of the government they see me as some kind of freak who is not like the masses.   They might have even tried to have me "mate" but the female and I were just too disharmonious ... and then there's the Schopenhauer/Cioran factor where I could not separate philosophy from everyday life.

A married philosopher belongs in comedy.

I feel much less anxiety since I have become resigned to go extinct.   It appears that some of us are just not wired for breeding or even long term cohabitation.   The best thing to develop is the capacity to be alone, to stand alone, even if this means death and extinction.

Where is our species heading anyway?

There are few places to discuss such matters without the risk of being diagnosed with mental illness.   You know you are welcome to voice your doubts and fears here.

I hope you find some inner peace and learn to cherish the fact that you can't find a place in this world, that you are homesick for somewhere else.

Things They Will Never Tell YouArthur Schopenhauer has been the most radical and defiant of all troublemakers.
