I agree with you a 💯 percent ,Herr Kaspar.
They wanted me to fly to another Indian province to attend a training program.Tomorrow I am going to tell them I'd rather not due to the virus.
This virus attacks the lungs and mine are already weakened due to TB.

The virus attacks the lungs, killing just one cell, but this triggers an inflamatory reaction such that our own immune system will destroy us.

I am confident that our conversations over the past several years have prepared us both for the unravelling of this science fiction psychological horror existence.  Senor Raul of Paraguay has confirmed our sense of the inherent suffering in being alive and the nature of the Rulers and their Armies of Enforcers.   I feel blessed to have had these deep dialogues on forbidden topics.  My heart feels content with what we have exchanged here.   We have made good use of this medium while we have had access.   Maybe the handful of us who check in regularly here have already helped the others in ways which will make dying less frightening; and there is a chance we might process the surrealistic quality of a globally experienced catastrophic pressure point with the full force of our passion.

We do not know how we will respond in the coming months, but Raul is right on point that there are body bags for the lot of us.   In such serious times, is there any place for dark fatalism?

Would humor help us starve to death as we witness the desperate masses murder for food?

There is a Cioranesque nightmare before us … testimony to his antinatalist inclinations, even before there was such a label as antinatalist.   He wished to spare us of the horrors to come, the horrors which have always been ...

You will be mourned by me, and I am prepared to carry on a conversation with myself for the duration; although I may begin writing letters again ... real letters that are written by hand and sent in the mail.

Holden,

From the interview with Cioran you posted:

One thing that moved me tremendously, one evening about eleven, it was raining a little, I was with a young man, we were talking, on the other side of the Luxembourg Gardens.  It was November, there was nobody on the street, and I noticed someone coming in our direction, who was looking at the ground and making gestures, talking to himself.  It was Paul Celan.  And when I saw him, I was startled, frightened.  I stopped and watched him, he didn’t even see me.  He didn’t see anyone, talking to himself.  And it broke my heart because I understood, he’s not well.  He was a man who was profoundly wounded.  He was too tormented to take refuge in skepticism.

I often find myself talking out loud to myself.  Are we also men who have been profoundly wounded?
