Don Raul,

Nothing is worth desiring in this world.
I would like to desire nothing.

Take care.

Holden,

Thank you for your words. I hope you are all right.

Indeed this world is cruel. Everything in this world is disgusting. Even eating is bad because we have to eat so that our physical bodies remain chained to this world. It is like paying for our prison.

As you know all the demons are here. I donīt there is much to learn from me.

We are often told to be brave and endure situations in this life. This would say one donkey to another donkey while they are both pulling the heavy burden of the barn.

So we have a story of the two donkeys. One of them is a slave donkey and the other, an awakened donkey. The former said to the latter: Keep pulling, keep pulling and this one asks: why if I am not gaining anything and neither are they going to give me any reward. When night comes we both will be eating in the same barn. Clearly we have been programmed to be full blind idiots who say that we have to hold on and hold on because we cannot die because life is beautiful.

Stay alert.

Holden,

Thank you for your words, the article and quotes.

Yes, life is full of turmoil and angst. And we are living in a cruel world.

The Gnostics and their spiritual heirs, the Cathars, knew that this world is evil. From a Cathar treatise:

(Apostle) John says: "Love neither the world, nor the things that are in the world, for all that is in this world is the lust of the flesh". And Christ: "The Prince of this world will come". And He continues: "My kingdom is not of this world."

And in another fragment: "I do not pray for this world". Another passage: "Father, the world has not known you". And of his own he says: "They are not of the world, just as I myself am not of the world.

If the world is placed under the rule of the Evil One, if it is not to be loved, nor to love what is in it, one must believe that it is not the dominion of Christ, because it does not come from the Father.

And if it does not come from the Father, it is not of Christ. The latter said to the Father: "All that is yours is yours, and what is yours is mine. Therefore, the kingdom of Christ is not of this world, Christ does not pray for this world, and his own, who belong to him, are not of the world.

If, besides all this, the world hates them, if they know misfortunes, if it persecutes and fights them and Christ, then it is not to be believed that the world is Christ's, because the world has ignored him and does not know him.”

Stay safe.

Don Raul,
Kindly consider answering these two questions:

1.What do you think of the news that the Earth's population is about to hit the 8 billion mark this year and that India would overtake China population wise next year?

I am sad to note that a whole lot of love making is going on in this country.

2.Have you met any Mexicans? If yes, what do you think of them and how are  they different from the Paraguayans?

Thanks a ton.
