Holden,

I hope you are not having problems with your medication. I wish I could speak German. I would have been able to read many authors like Herman Hesse, Stefan Zweig, Thomas Mann, and others in the original language.
Bear in mind that from now on that you and people like you who dare to think and utter forbidden thoughts have become a highly endangered species.

Those who do not have jobs, careers, prospects, will be viewed as a burden to society, unworthy of living, etc. It has happened before, is happening now and it will continue to happen.

I agree with you that in a near future people will reproduce only by way of tubes. I remember many years ago when I heard that in 1978 Louise Joy Brown was the first to be conceived via in vitro fertilization in Manchester, England. Later her sister was born the same way. In 2006 Louise gave birth to a baby boy but in the natural way. With cloning technology things must have changed a lot specially for military purpses. I heard that many couples go to special clinics that deal with specialize in the use of hormones.

Nevertheless, women will still decide to give birth to babies. We are part of an infection called life and life is doomed to continue to multiply in this unverse. This is nothing new.

The title of my post is Procession of Verges - Dance of Death. Verges is located in Girona, Catalonia in Spain. The town is famous for its Dansa de la Mort or Dance of Death in Catalan. They are celebrated every Holy Week and it has been performed since the Middle Ages. The dances of death became popular after the Black Death. The authorities made these Grim Reapers dance to remind everyone in town that sooner or later all of us will be dancing to its tune. It is done every Holy Week as part of the cortege that Jesus made on his way to Golgotha after leaving Pontius Pilate´s palace. It reminds us that we are all skeletons on our way to the cemetery. When the plague ceased the survivors organized this dance of skeletons so they won´t forget it but in these modern times it has become a popular festivity.

By the way I learned that quarantine was the term used in Venice. They used that word because the authorities were desperate before the advance of the plague. They were inspired by the struggle that Jesus fought against the devil during forty nights and forty days. They first isolated houses, ships and whole populations. The sick did not receive any treatment, the dead fell without anyone burying them. It meant surrendering all these territories to Satan itself.

Stay well.
