Yes, Madame Lynch made a huge impact on Paraguay at that time. Marshall Francisco Solano López brought her from Paris in 1855. In a way, she was the uncrowned queen of Paraguay. But her days of glory ended in 1870 when López was killed in combat in a river by the Brazilians in the Paraguayan War (1864-1870). I am sure, in my view, that she would have never enjoyed the luxuries she had here, had she remained in Europe. Lucky Irish lady.
