I believe you mentioned this radio when you were writing as Broken Spirit.
I was thinking about "your bullet proof idea" and I think this is what you have done, to borrow an image from Schopenhauer, you have pulled out the eel, from a sack which contains an assembly of snakes, I mean, that out of literally thousands of philosophies, schools of thoughts and ideologies, some which are downright false, others have just enough hint of truth to mislead one, you have grasped the one which is indeed the "bullet proof idea" just as Schopenhauer himself did about 200 years back. Also, you have now reached the age at which, Plato believed, his Philosopher, would be ready.
The Exorcist was released in 1973 and you would have been 6 years old then.Regan is said to be 12 years old. Also, I am assuming that the atmosphere of your childhood around this time might be have had Roman Catholic vibes.
I think of that small boy who was ,at that point of time, afraid of Pazuzu, and he would grow up and himself become an Exorcist far greater than Father Karras. The exorcist the little boy would grow up into would hold Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung in hands instead of the Bible.
He would exorcise a demon ,a thousand times more dangerous than Pazuzu, I mean, of course, "Der Wille".
As they say,if one wishes to exorcise a demon, one must, first of all,NAME it,only then could one have any hope of tackling it.
Der Wille.
Only someone as strong as Broken Spirit could have tackled "Der Wille".Not Father Karras. Not all the Jesuits in the world together.
