I'm glad to see you exploring the schizoid personality. I have decided to "self-diagnose" myself as having one; as you may know I am totally averse to getting an "official" diagnosis. As I am sure you also know, misdiagnosis, mischaracterization are common, everything is a spectrum, etc. etc.

The moderators on the Schizoid reddit page have compiled an excellent "wiki."

I do not mean offense to you, but in the importance of self-learning:

- Having a cold or emotionally needy mother
- Distrust of society/tribalism/groups
- Anhedonia

Ring any bells? :)

There are many advantages to this type of personality, in my opinion. I hope you find the encouragement to read more about this. Of course, antipsych extraordinaire R.D. Laing wrote The Divided Self, which mainly concerns the schizoid.

"And the strict master Death bids them dance."
